I have used LaCie drives before in the past and I have been impressed. Unfortunetly this product does not properly fit inside of an Apple G5. When I try to eject the drive, it gets stuck unless I manually force it out. There is no problem with the drive itself, its simply a flaw in the design of G5,..

Ive used it under windows 98se and windows xp and it works great!!! I use fujifilm all purpose cdrs with it. I recommend checking the packaging on your cdrs and cdrws for _made in Japan_ to insure compatability...

I got it from Amazon today and immmediately decided to return it. The firmware seems to be very buggy. I couldnt get it to recognize some of the CDs that I burnt with Roxio Toast on the Mac.
