I was surprised. Great illustrations, in-depth enough to satisfy my curiosity, but not to the engineering level. If you have an I.Q. over 100, skip the Idiots guide and just buy this book for it covers the basics in one chapter and the real "guts" in the other chapter. Everything is covered from solar power to rubber roofs to checklists and notes areas. Its a book you work with and in as well as from. Wiring diagrams, suggested manufacturers, and even mathmatical formulas will help the novice gain a solid understanding of the RV as a whole.
